About Corrie
Corrie creates art to share herself with others in a way that she finds cannot be conveyed by other means. Her work allows her to attain an unconventional level of honesty to circumvent customary methods of communication with the viewer, because so often words cannot adequately describe the gamut of emotions we all run through each day. If her art were to touch someone, even slightly, to help them see that they are not alone in their experience of the world we share, she would feel as though she’s fulfilled her purpose.
Corrie predominantly works in ink and watercolor creating an array of works, ranging from illustrative to more abstract pieces. Her work almost exclusively subsists of the female form, delving into ideas of womanhood and the fluidity of gender. She graduated with an BA in Fine Art from Rutgers University and works as a freelance illustrator.
